SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) is a global e-learning standard established by the American standardisation organisation known as ADL (Advanced Distributed Learning Initiative). It represents quality and trust in the accredited product. ProSeeds produces e-learning course materials that meet the SCORM standards.
The most significant advantage of SCORM lies in its interoperability. In e-learning, much historical information is delivered from the e-learning course material to the e-learning system. This includes test scores and information on learning progress. If the information comes in different formats during this delivery, it would make it difficult to achieve smooth communication between the e-learning course material and the system. Hence, SCORM was established as a uniform standard in order to resolve this issue. E-learning course materials that meet SCORM standards can be mounted onto the LMS (Learning Management System) and distributed more widely to various groups of students.
ProSeeds engages a full-time director who has been authorised as a SCORM assessor. This facilitates the production of e-learning course materials that meet SCORM standards.
*SCORM assessor: A qualified person who has been recognised as one who has mastered the SCORM standards, and who has been accredited by the e-Learning Consortium Japan (eLC).
